WHEN I WAS IN SCHOOL I HAD TO CREATE A DVD COVER FOR MY PORTFOLIO DVD. I ALWAYS LOVED THE ARTWORK OF THE READY TO DIE ALBUM COVER. I DID TRY TO MIMIC THE NAS "ILLMATIC" ALBUM BUT IT WASN'T RIGHT FOR ME. I COULDN'T ADD MY BUILDING WITH A CHILDHOOD PICTURE IN THE FRONT. SO IT WAS EASIER AND CLEANER TO RE EDIT THE READY TO DIE ALBUM REASON WHY THE COLORS WHERE TIMELESS (BLACK WITH RED FONTS AND WHITE BACKGROUND) AND IT DEPICTED A BABY SYMBOLIZING THE BIRTH OF SOMETHING NEW. I FELT LIKE IT WAS SOMETHING CHRISTOPHER WALLACE WANTED TO SHOW THAT HE WAS BORN TO DO THIS. SUCH A IRONIC TITLE THO "READY TO DIE" WITH A PICTURE OF A BABY. I NAMED MINE "UNDYING LOVE" TO SORT OF MATCH THE THEME BECAUSE REGARDLESS OF DEATH I LOVE TO DO WHAT I DO, SO IT'S UNDYING TO ME. SO I HAD TO PAY MY RESPECT TOWARDS THE ARTIST WHO MADE THIS CLASSIC ALBUM COVER AND ONE OF THE GREATEST NOTORIOUS B.I.G
I TRIED TO GET SOME INFO OF THE DESIGNER OR ART PROCESS IN THE MAKING OF THE COVER BUT GUESS GOOGLE DIDN'T COME THRU.The album was released with a cover depicting an infant resembling the artist, though sporting an afro, which pertains to the album's concept of the artist's life from birth, to his death. It has been listed as among the best album covers in hip hop.[4] Rappers Raekwon and Ghostface Killah however, would imply disdainfully on Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... (Loud, 1995) that this cover concept was first used by Nas on his debut album Illmatic.[5]
