Canon 7D Rig Breakdown - Matt Workman
HDSLR Canon EOS 7D Camera Rig Breakdown
A major difference with my setup is that I connect the tripod baseplate to the Arri Baseplate which is a much nicer and safer design than others I've used. The Redrock Baseplate is only to connect the camera to the Rig. This way I can dynamically adjust the balance point of the system without any back counter weight or a AB/IDX battery solution.
I'm planning on adding the Arri FF1 Follow Focus and gearing a couple zooms as well. The Cinevate lens gears and the Chosziel gears seem like the best options at this point. I'm also planning on adding the Black Magic HDMI to HDSDI box some time soon.
Not shown is this photo, but I typically use the Zacuto Finder v2 or v3, especially for handheld. This photo shows the Nikon AFS 80-200mm f2.8 but I usually use the Canon 70-200 f2.8 L and other Canon Zooms.
Also shown is the Rhodes Shotgun Mic. We usually use the Zoom G4N Recorder for DSLR shoots or we have a sound mixer/boom record to their own dedicated recorder.
